How does everyone feel about keeping our dues at $60 per year? We are getting just enough money to get by but we can't afford to make any improvements. It seems that we need to get more members to pay or raise the dues again.

Kenny, if we stopped mowing the 119th frontage for 2 years we would have approx. 5000 dollars to fix the water leak and get a little ahead of the game financially. (this is taken from the financial statement you recently sent) The question is, how many dues paying members on 119th are we mowing for and would we lose their membership if we stopped for 2 years. We could go ahead and get someone to mow the entryway. What do you think?

Make dues required

Kenny, a number of us are tired of begging those that want to freeload off the rest of us to pay their dues. Our goal is to increase the value of neighborhood homes. Some people don't seem to care if the neighborhood falls into disarray. Then they whine because they can't sell their home for more or the same amount than they paid for it. I say we do whatever is necessary to make dues a requirement to live in our area. I know this has been discussed a lot in the past but I'm not sure anyone has truly done anything to try to make it happen. The last time I went out trying to collect dues, Wyman Dobbs and I heard more excuses than your would believe. Some of us are sick and tired of the freeloaders not willing to pay their fair share. I figure if you can afford to own a home in our neighborhood, you can afford $60.00 a year to keep the value of that home up. Let me know what I can do to help.

YOU can afford $5.00 per month

If a family is living in our addition and can't afford $5.00 per month for neighborhood association dues then they need to move to another neighborhood.
