We have hashed and rehashed the MATTER to the nth degree. Some with intelligence and candor, and some with malice and rudeness, it is now time to vote. The majority rules. Just remember we are adults and should conduct ourselves accordingly. RUDENESS & DISRESPECT have no place in what should be a positive and constructive association.

Boy were you right !
At a very respectful board meeting tonight Mr. Lange can again feel proud that he put his own pride before the best interests of the association.
He began the meeting by refusing to resign and declaring that he would be president for the next 18 months. He followed this by declaring that he had a list of more than 10% of the membership to call a special membership meeting to discuss the issue, which he would use if the board voted to remove him. He offered one compromise: he would remain president and ''let'' the other board members chair the general meetings for the rest of this year on a rotating basis.
He insists that the June membership meeting was a conspiracy to oust him and that he was rudely treated
by the membership and that anyone backed into a corner like he was would have reacted the same way. He questioned whether the people present at the meeting were members and had a right to vote.
It was just more and more vintage, controlling Steve Lange. Threats,
intimidation, inability to see reality, and refusal to let go of control. He honestly does not think he has done anything improper or rude.
So now, because the board, in a split vote, did remove him from office, the membership WHICH DOES NOT HAVE THE LEGAL RIGHT TO REMOVE HIM will be forced to go through another meeting------- and a nasty one, at that. And the 30 people who voted to remove him at the June meeting have been ignored by him, just like all the people who live near the CVS project.
So, folks, he has bullied his way again. Because how many people want to go through another meeting and have to stand up one by one and tell their stories about what he done to each of them to cause them to feel he should NOT be president. I have been a victim or witness to his outrageous behavior on four occasions that come quickly to my head. But I am done with this foolishness. I have a life to lead that is more important than an association that will NOT stop this foolishness.
The board majority tried to give him a way out by law- removing him ''without cause.'' Know why- because no one wanted to make public the behavior of this man in public and in private. They wanted to spare HIM the embarrassment.
As for those board members who wanted to give the process more time to cool down- Lane Lastinger,
Kate Hawk, Susan Rebillot, & Tom Hennessey- only Tom was at the June membership meeting.

majority rule
the majority should rule. but we have a president surrounded by a small cadre of supporters who will not abandon rudeness and disrespect and insist on perpetuating this debacle through more intimidation.
the board who tried to act with some decorum, was again outwitted last night by the president who will use every trick, and put this association through anything, to remain in control.
his maneuvers and threats, petitions
and posturing were just more of the same back door politicking.
shame on Lane Lastinger for sitting there and trying to prevent the president from speaking, in obvious fear he would begin directly insulting people again. and for insisting the members meet again- even through as an attorney he knows they cannot
remove a board member.
bravo to Will Goetz for sticking to his motion for removal and not being intimidated. guess it takes a doctorate to see through all the
malarky.

Shame on Lane!!
Lane has always been well respected in the neighborhood and community. He has always conducted himself as a gentlemen and with well-groomed manners. However, I fear that his blindness to this blatant thirst for power by Steve is going quickly make him fall from favor. Lane please come to your senses and realize that this man is going to take everyone he can down on his sinking ship.
