Since we received no news in our last (July) newsletter, I will try to provide some here.

Many of you have asked me who was it that voted me out as President of North Shore on July 3rd at the specially called board meeting held at Westminister Presbyterian Church at 7:00 P. M. Well I will tell you.

Will Goetz

Carl Luvgren

Jim O'Donnell

Cynthia Serra

Arlene Bartley

and the very famous tie breaker:

Greg Burton

The five board members who voted to keep me on as President were:

Kate Hawk

Lane Lastinger

Susan Ribillot

Tom Hennesey

Steven Lange

Yes, it was a five to five tie vote until acting president Greg Burton broke the tie by voting me out. He then followed up his vote by stating how sad he was and how hard it was for him to vote me out.

In his pre-vote statement while looking me directly in the eye, he said, Steve, after listening to you threaten this board with all those signatures that you intend to use to call a Special General Membership meeting to bring all this up again you have made it very clear on how I have to vote, blah blah blah, etc. etc. etc.

You all get the point. He was real sad!!!

Well Greg broke the tie which sent me packing. But Greg, the signatures are real, not a threat. What I said at the meeting was the truth, a promise and an upcoming event. You may count on it.

Steve, you are wrong!

This is preposterous. Do you really expect the good citizens of North Shore to sit by and allow you to defame our neighborhood board of directors - using their names - like this.

For instance, can you really expect us to believe that Will Goetz voted you out? He had only been to one or two meetings in my memory - I do not believe he showed up at the board elections. I don't believe he participated in any sanctioned neighborhood activities How could he possible judge whether you should be tossed off or not. You see, Steve, we just can not believe your accusations.

Then you tell us that Cynthia Serra voted against you. Well, Steve, she had just been voted on the board that very evening - if my memory is correct, she would certainly not, as her first act, vote to get rid of the president. Again, you are asking us to believe the unbelivable.

Did anyone ask Carl Luvgren to explain his vote? I do not believe he has ever made a public statement of any kind. I don't think he has any idea

And, what about that dear Jim O'Donnell. I am certain he misunderstood the motion or woke up and thought they were voting to adjourn the meeting.

And, I cannot believe that Arlene ''flip-flops'' our comic relief of the board would jeprodize her fun loving nature for a mean spirited action.

So, you see, Steve, you present these board members as if they are mean and vicious people. If you look at the situation in the correct light, you can see that you have misrepresented our representatives.

I look forward to each of them posting their reasons for voting as they did. I believe we will hear that my view is more correct. I request each of them to provide their reason on this page so the neighborhood can read it the truth. Will? Carl? Arlene? Cynthia? Jim? Let's hear from you.

Bert ....you forgot someone!

Bert...you overlooked another misstatement!
How could Greg Burton, another long standing and very involved board member with so much to show for his efforts risk it all by voting Steve out?

After all was he or wasn't he the deciding vote to remove Steve AND place himself in the leadership position?
