On Sept. 11, the Board took the following actions. The formal acceptance of the President-Elect position by Chris Eaton was confirmed. Doug Haan, who had come forward to volunteer, was appointed to the Board to fill a vacancy. The Board voted unanimously to enter into an agreement with a landscaping company to maintain and enhance our streetscaping on a regular basis, with payment to be in the form of a combination of payment from fundraising events and an ad monthly in the newsletter. The Board also voted unanimously in favor of professional cleaning and painting of the five monuments, which will begin very soon. The Board also voted unamimously to reduce the costs of the newsletter by having volunteer layout and design services, now available to us, to change printers, and to reduce the distribution to 3500 households to quarterly rather than every other month effective with November's edition.
