Our fundraising has gotten off to a great start. We raised just under $90 at our bake sale, have received $300 in cash donations and one family has sold over $205 worth of candy bars so far this drive!
With just 10% of resident participation we have raised all together just shy of $1000 and we have just begun!!! If each home raises or donates just $200 we would reach our goal! It seems like such a huge task when looking at the big picture but if we all work together we can meet our goal quickly and easily.
We have had 10 members (homeowners and renters) of the neighborhood participate so far. One homeowner (with no children living with them) has donated $200, one homeowner has donated $100, and one homeowner has helped raise $360 in candybar sales. So, 4 homes have donated/raised over $600 with the remaining 6 homeowners raising just under $400 so far. Just imagine what we can do with even more participation!
If you are wondering how you can help, here are a few ideas...participate in fundraisers, research available grant money, contact a business or businesses to sponser or help sponser the playground, give a cash donation.
