  • Respect-O-Meter: Valued Neighbor

Sadly, our son Callum left his Razor scooter at the playground the night of Sept. 6 and unfortunately, the scooter was gone the next day.  Callum should have been more responsible with his belongings; however, it seemed that the neighborhood children looked out for one another and were quite honest about each other's belongings .  Sadly, this no longer seems to be the case.  The scooter is silver with black handles.  It has Callum's name on the kickboard.  Any help or information would be appreciated.  Thanks, your neighbor at 99 Tabilore Loop.

The scooter has been found.  We received a tip from one of the neighborhood kids who saw the culprit take the scooter and hide it by the railroad tracks.  The thief had threatened the other kids with harm to not say anything.  My son had even asked the thief if he knew where the scooter was when it first disappeared, and naturally the kid lied, which is not surprisingly considering who this kid is.  I'm not as troubled about the lie and the theft but by the fact that we have a kid threatening to hurt other kids.
