City of Delaware curbside refuse and recycling collections will return to a regular weekly schedule, beginning Monday, Feb. 7. Collections were suspended Thursday and Friday, Feb. 2-3, to allow City crews to focus on clearing ice and tree limb debris left from the ice storm. For collections during the week of Feb. 7-11, additional non-tagged bags of refuse placed outside of the tipcarts will be collected. For questions, phone 740-203-1810.
Ice storm tree limb debris can be placed at curbside for pick up on scheduled refuse collection days, through Feb. 18. If bundling in four-foot long sections is not possible, residents are asked to reduce debris to manageable sizes. The debris pick-up plan is limited to storm-related debris, only, and should not be used as an opportunity to dispose of items that are not accepted during normal, weekly curbside collections. Debris also can be dropped off at Price Farms Organics, 4838 Warrensburg Road; and at Ohio Mulch, 1646 U.S. 42 North, behind Cashman’s Drive Thru. There is no charge at either location for city residents.
