I would like to hear from our residents about their thoughts on traffic calming devices in our neighborhood, pros and cons. Please attend our next association meeting to hear more about this subject and more.

traffic calming
Traffic calming devices are probably needed in some parts of the neighborhood. However, what if all the device does is direct the speeding traffic to a different stretch of road? I think a full study should be done by someone other than the association before any traffic diversions are put in place.

I couldn't agree with you more. The Board has had Ray McKenzie, City Traffic Engineer at one of recent Assn. meetings and we also have a standing committee to coordinate our efforts and help Traffic Engineering point out some of our trouble spots. So far, we have not executed any specific plan as we have been putting our grant proposal together for enhancements to the lake and neighborhood monickers at several main entrances to the neighborhood.
We will most likely discuss the status of our committee's progress and put together some workable ideas to have the City research.
Thank you for your interest in our neighborhood's development.
