Several people have mentioned that the police who live in our neighborhood would watch over the usage of basketball courts, watch for intruders, etc. I think that is a very natural assumption to make, but upon closer inspection, maybe we should think twice. How many of us would want to come home to the expectation that we continue to practice our profession? I think a more fair approach might be to see if they would help us get a neighborhood watch up and running, so that we can take on the responsibility of the wellbeing of our neighborhood.

I think a more fair approach might be to see if they would help us get a neighborhood watch up and running, so that we can take on the responsibility of the wellbeing of our neighborhood. you are absolutely correct..... i wouldn't want to be an off duty policeman and have 100+ neighbors knocking on my door, or calling me all the time... it is our duty to set up our neighborhood watch.......and from some of the things that i have seen, it is needed.....decclark |
