The snow contract states that only the entrance up to the flag pole is to be salted if the snow is less than three inches. If the snow is greater than three inches then the neighborhood will be plowed accordingly.  To plow the neighborhood, in my opinion, should be decided by a panel of chosen residents who will then determine when it is feasible to remove the snow. For a three inch snow removal the cost could be 3-5 thousand dollars and that is not including salt for the streets. A friend of mine informed me that last years snow removal bill for their neighborhood, which is not much larger than ours, for the entire season exceeded $30,000. This cost exceeded their total budget for snow removal which resulted in higher yearly fees. If  LSF decides to remove snow for every three inch or greater accumulation then we will need to adjust our budget accordingly to accommodate the extra costs.

Well we pay 75,000 dollars according to the contract for Landscaping and Maintenance. I think we all can agree that Blooms and Things is not giving us our moneys worth for flowers in the front enterance. So why not spend it on snow removal?

Not sure. The entrance gets some treatment, of course, but I hope they don't start salting inside of the neighborhood. It eats cars and concrete. Yumm.
