Our money

I personally want to air my side of why I am upset with the HOA.

1.  If there are no wrong-doings or ill intentions, then why not answer our questions? Why side-step real questions and blow people off when they call the office or email?

2.  We who pay our dues have the legal right to question where and how it is spent. Those who also pay their dues and think it is negative to ask where our money goes when 95% supposedly is collected should also question why the so-called economy has affected the bottom line of what is still in the account. In other words, does it seem funny to be collecting still a large portion of dues but be going broke at the same time? Hmmm.... regardless of who is mad at who- I want to know where my hard earned money went.

3.  I have worked with many a financial document in my time and both Kachina and Oasis reports are confusing to me. Instead of sit back and be confused- I have asked for soemone- anyone- to help me understand where my money has gone over the last year. All I am told is to look at the financials that are posted here on this site. Regardless of what the HOA board or Oasis is "required" to do by law, shouldn't they want to alleviate the headaches of upset homeowners and just answer the %^$# questions we have? Why is it so difficult to take the time to explain in a 10 minute phone call where the $400,000 has gone? As a person who is educated in this area and has asked several times, I am left to assume there is a reason that this is not being answered.

4. Given issue #3 above, combined with breaking Az statues, yes indeed, I want the entire board to step down as well as the management company. We need to start over with all new faces. Would I be willing to be on the board? Sure, but I am not willing to risk my personal liability by being on this specific board at this time. Otherwise, I would step up and nominate myself to do a job that needs to be done, but not with the ones who are on it now.

But, I will not stand back at another meeting and be told to shut my mouth if all I have to say is the same thing the rest of the trailer trash is saying. Ms. lady in pink: you have a right to voice your opinions and to speak your mind. However, you have no right to pull the name-calling BS and rude comments sitting right behind me when you don't know me. This, my dear, is the negativity that no one needs. This is why people get heated up and angry at meetings. My comments at the meeting were in disagreement and were done respectfully. Yours were not. You are a rude and inconsiderate person to yell in my ear and tell me to shut my mouth. No one can move forward and get anything accomplished with a Jerry Springer like attitude! :)

For something positive- I positively will not tolerate aggression at another meeting. I hope you remember who I am and will sit far away from me if you come to the next meeting, because I will express my opinions to you if you come at me like that again.

If board members and Oasis are breaking the LAW they should be removed. And be held accountable.

Ok, now I'm sure I'll be attacked for saying my two cents.

IT'S CALLED THE FIRST AMENDMENT !!!!!!!!!

I agree with you Ash! Our hard earned money has been wasted somewhere. They keep saying it was Kachina that over spent on bills. Why wasn't this noticed before Oasis took over? How does almost 200,000 dollars just disappear? Answers would be nice and are needed.

Now it will be my turn to get slammed! The terms for some of our board members are coming to an end in a few months. I will throw my name in the ring to get on the board. I would ask any of the other people that have had issues to do the same. In my opinion it sounds like the petition has lost its bite. People who haven't paid, renters signed the petition. That is a huge blow. What will it serve now? There is only a couple of months and they will be gone and a new board will be elected. Is really worth the time and money to continue when the reign of the current board is about done? Lets put our time and efforts into selecting our new board.

If specific laws have been broken, then something needs to be done. I couldn't tell you who to talk to or where to begin.

Thank you and let the bashing begin!! :)
