The proposed car wash will be determental to the neighborhood on many different levels. The intelligent design of neighborhoods indicates that commercial areas should be clustered in one area and residential areas should be clustered in another. While they should be near enough to get to, they should not be in the same zone. The conflicts between residential and commercial will bring the property values of both down.
The activity level, the noise, the pollution, the run-off, and the low level of economic return for the neighborhood should lead all to the conclusion of keeping the car wash out!

what makes a neighborhood great?

When you think of the best neighborhoods, what do you think of? It's trees and flowers and kind, quiet neighbors. We want our neighborhood to reflect the kind of community that makes America great!
A car wash would be loud, think of the stereos! Cars would be lined up the street and into the extensions of our homes. People would be detailing, and drying with music loud.
Make the right decision, no car wash!!!

Our Quiet Little Neighborhood

One of the reasons my wife and I moved into the neighborhood was the nice relaxing atmosphere. At night when we sit on the front porch we can hear my friends father quietly playing his accoustic guitar on his porch or the laughter of kids playing down the street. If this car wash goes in, we are going to be interupted with the lousey drowning of spraying water and automated dryers. This is not a welcome addition. Why could they not have built a nice local Grocery store like Berger Mart off of Grinstead or Lotsa Pasta. These builders have no respect or consideration for the people of this neighborhood. Those who live right by the site will most likely notice a sharp devaluation in there homes. I am not sure what kind of person would hurt someone else like that for money, but I would not be able to sleep well at night if I were the builders.
