I was not suggesting that the Board would dicatate what contractor I hire. The point was that the Board could pre-approve companies offering packages that would be approveable per Section 20 of the Deed.
This would simply be a list of vendors with all the legal caveats necessary. This would also provide some level of uniformity in the vinyl options.

Well that would make sense, but the board isnt interested in anything that makes sense or is practical. Once again, all we get from Jean and the board are non answers, or telling us to bring it up at the next meeting. So frustrating. |

Bottom line is 3 rail vinyl fencing is available and available in several colors. The color should not matter. A home owner should have every right to choose the color of their liking. We are a deed restricted community but treated like a dictatorship. This matter has to be on the ballot for next year. I'd say this thread is enough to get it added. Just need homeowners to come out and vote in February. Get the word out to your neighbors and let's get a whole new board while we are at it. By all the complaints on this site alone, it sounds like the community is unhappy with our current members. I for one would like to see receipts from the treasurer on where our 60K plus goes each year. Landscaping is not that expensive. We've been hearing new community signs foe a while now but still nothing. They seem to have the mentality that if someone else (Deldot, Ncco) doesn't pitch in then we don't do it. Board members should be friendly, informative and in touch with the community. This current board, most not all, are none of the above. Not from my families experience anyway!!
