Pig Out at the Park/+Posada FIRE

Posted in: Marlborough Mesa
First, thanks to everyone that made it to the park. It was great for both my wife Diana and I to meet a lot of neighbors, and see a lot of those we've met already. We are newlyweds and are extremely thrilled to be living in a community that comes together like Marlborough Mesa.

Speaking of coming together, we all really need to pitch in and do what we can for the family that had the house fire Sat night. Many of the people that were there pitched in money to go to the family. Several others were offering clothes, cribs, etc.

Let's all consider how fortunate we all are compared to this family (with a newborn) that recently moved here. We need to show them what kind of community they live in. In the days and weeks to come, let's all be proactive and brainstorm ... and come up with some solid ways of helping this family in need.

Neighborhood Tragedy

I echo Brian Romberg sentiments, i.e., we all need to pitch in and do what we can for this family. To show them what a great(wonderful) neighborhood we all live in. I've already suggested to Becky Claycomb that at our next Focus Group meeting, we brainstorm and come up with other suggestions of support for them(this family).

The community-at-large truely needs to know how we respond when a tragedy falls on one of our neighbors.

Donations needed!

Donations have already poured in for the family on Posada that had the fire. At this point people are donating money as we do not know what else is needed. If you would like to make a donation contact me through e-mail or call at 480-839-6006. The Focus Group were thrilled at the turnout at the Pig out at the Park. We were so shocked at the fire that we postponed the Silent Auction until another night. The group will meet quickly and plan another night for the Silent Auction. Thanks to all who supported the event and came to the Park. Yes, it is time to regroup and help this family! We live in a wonderful neiborhood and now is the time to rally around those in need!

We can help

If the family that had the fire need any baby items such as a swing or playpen or anything else just let me know. I have all kinds of baby items that I would be happy to lend. I have boys but most of my items are pretty neutral. Also if there is anything else they need help with just let us know.

PS...I think that it might be nice for us to offer the raffle money to them.
