I have just recently started posting here because of the attack on my family. So, I don't know what Christine has said in the past. I responded to this thread because of the topic. It is something I feel strongly about, protecting children. I don't know what you are talking about, having a problem with your posts.

Janice, 710 is referring to the posts in which I made a comment that I would not vote your husband because I was judging him because of his career choice while he had a family. Even though I went on to explain why I felt that way. That it had nothing to do with anything else that was said about Joe. That it was coming from my passion as a mother and that I hate seeing parents make choices that have a negative affect on their children. I admitted I was being judgmental.

Because you are a decent person, and I believe you yourself as a mother knew where I was coming from, that instead of attacking me, you choose to respond to me in a very dignified way and let me know that it really wasn't as bad as I assumed it was. I then thanked you for doing so.

710, 48192, some richard(####)guy and sue57 are not at all happy with me because I said things that are negative about the church. I believe several of those posters are in fact one person. 710 &48192 are very vindictive toward me because I choose to ignore them. They are searching for every reason to criticize and bad mouth me. Going so far as to make things up.

It's really a shame because this issue, this thread, is being turned into a soap opera instead of the open dialog that this community should be having about a very serious issue.

We shake our heads in disbelief when we hear stories like what happened to Carlie, or Elizabeth Smart and does anyone remember Diana Seifert(the 9 year old girl from Warren,who was stolen from her bed raped and murdered)?

Each time there is another child we are shocked that this could even happen. But why not?....Look what happens when we attempt to be proactive to speak out against such horrific things...We are attacked and called man-haters.

It was because of the Adam Walsh story that I knew the world can be an ugly place for children if a parent takes their eyes of their child even for a split second no matter where you are.

John Walsh was just on Larry King a few weeks back. He shared with us even more disturbing facts about his son abduction and murder. 12 years after his son Adam's murder he finally found out something that was very crucial to what really happened that day his son was kidnapped. John and his wife went out of their minds trying to figure out 'how' it could have happened. They were very diligent in teaching their son never to wander off by himself or go with strangers. His mother was only 3 isles away from him as he watched 2 other boys playing a video game. It didn't make sense to them that Adam just disappeared like that in thin air. Finally, it wasn't till after the civil suit with Sears was no longer an issue(12 years later), that John Walsh was given certain information that was kept from him. That information was that a inexperienced female security guard working for Sears had kicked Adam Walsh out of the store. Adam didn't wander off and wasn't taken while inside the store as they believed. He was kidnapped because he was forced to go outside where he was left alone.

What a critical piece of information a parent would need know to begin in understanding 'how'.

Interestingly, he doesn't blame that female security guard for what happened to Adam. He understands she was very inexperienced and could never have known that could have happened.
