I have known

710 for 35 years...I watched him raise a family that anyone could be proud of. A lawyer, a banker, a City Official. All raised to the highest standards. He has been a devoted Husband to a Wife who very much needs him at this point in her life. 710 is a man of deep convictions, he believes and defends them. There is nothing wrong with that. You can argue and dis-agree with him and there is nothing wrong with that either. He will be the first to tell you so.

Why Argue About Personalities?

These name calling postings are such a waste of energy. I don't think the pupose of this site is for one poster to be any more right than another poster. I think the purpose is to discuss issues or concerns relating to this city of Wyandotte.

Some posters can't stand the fact that someone else has an opinion, thought, or experience so different or even sometimes so unbelieveable than what they think. So these posters think they need to criticize the other poster. I think that it is much easier to criticize or even be down right rude to these other posters because of the anonymous nature of this site. I think if we were dealing face to face with each other, we would not see such rude behavior.

I have previously urged some posters to think about the words they use and the hurt that they can cause to the feelings of other posters. I try to re-read my posts two or three times to make sure that I am not being offensive and that I am trying to stick to the issue and that I am not attacking the person because I don't like what they said. I have had a few failing myself but some of these current postings are down right nasty. There are so many better things to talk about than to be slamming each other.

It's one thing to debate, disagree and defend your beliefs. But it's not ok to harass, verbally attack and outright lie about someone.

710 yells and attacks everyone on this site.

He has done nothing but harass me, attack me and lie about me. He makes up stories about posts I have never posted. I never posting on anything that had to do with the school district or snow days.

I was having a civilized friendly conversation with Janice Peterson. He didn't like that it was friendly and that she and I weren't arguing and actually tried in instigate a feud between us by making untrue statements about me. Even Janice had no idea what he was talking about. He took nothing and twisted and fabricated a lie to try and convince her otherwise.

I have not personally attacked anyone not even the only 2 people (the number guys)who have continually attacked me contributed nothing to the issues. The only negativity from me are the discussions about rapists, child molesters and issues that have to do with harming women and children. But he repeatedly states otherwise.

I myself have made excuses for 710. I just figured he is such a miserable person that all he knows is anger and hatred.

Are you now going to defend these actions or allow excuses for it because he's having a 'bad time' in his life right now?

No! That's not ok. If things are really that bad for him then he needs to seek counseling and not use it as an excuse to attack people.

The problem I have is that it effects the discussions that are important and crucial to our community. All attention is taken away from the real issue and directed toward fighting and arguing and you said, she said, he said.
