Dinosaurs.... really???

Posted in: Middle Run Crossing

Are dinosaur statues really allowed as decorations in the fron yards of MRC???? There has to be a way to get them removed.

I COMPLETELY AGREE!!  This is taking the license to decorate a bit too far.  I could understand it if it were for an event...or even a "holiday" like Halloween; however, this seems to be a permanent fixture, and I cannot believe that our Deed Restrictions allow for this.  It was my understanding when we built our home (and signed Deed Restrictions)  that this neighborhood would be safe from owners "junking up" their yards with sheds, etc.  It is one of the reasons that my husband and I chose this community...but there seems to be a gross ability to overlook these infractions.  I am confused, frustrated, and am considering a move OUT!

I agree.  I read the deed restrictions and I believe they would be considered a "bulk landscaping" item which is not to be planted forward of the back corners of the house (i.e. backyard).  I think the association would agree.

Has anyone gone to the association with this complaint?

I called the MRC Maint Corp  - they claimed that there is nothing in the deed restrictions prohibiting such statues. I am praying that is truly not the case!!
