If you want more police, why don't you ask city council to raise your taxes to pay for them?

Muscatine underpays our policeman as it is. They sign on, we train them, and they leave for better pay in a bigger city.

City council can spend money on statues and water toys which block our view of the river but not on safety. Seems kinda funny since they are all republicans.

what do you expect

from these politicians. Things get worse every year. Same groups of people getting elected. That is what Thomas Jefferson was talking about when he said, we need a revolution every twenty years. It does not have to be volent. we can change the whole group with our votes. Till then it is insane to expect it to be different.

With Bill Trent and Scott Day not seeking re-election we will have replaced 5 of the seven in just two elections. Change for the good I don't know, but there is going to be change.
