Well, one of the reason's I'm posting tonite, is because I've been on the couch all day. I finally limped my way to my PC to check my email, etc...

Yesterday at work, I got one of the worst pains I've ever had in my back. I came home, and was almost ready to go to the ER since my Chiro is closed on Tues. (He's on call tho alla time)

I find out I may have ruptured a lower lumbar disk. Has anyone had any exp w/ this? My left butt cheek is killing me, and the pain is down my left leg, feels like my muscle is torn off.

Again, just wondering if any of ya'll has gone thru this...

:-(

Sounds more like

That sounds more like sciatica to me, but let the Dr.s decide. Until then, decorate your lower body with IcyHot patches like there's not tomorrow, and dope yourself up really good with piggyback doses of Advil and good ol' asprin. Always works for me with sciatica.

Good luck!

My hubby

has sciatica also, and yeah, your advice is pretty good, Linlou. Good luck, Jr.!!
Good advice

from the ladies Jr. Are you sure it's a ruptured disc?

Sounds to me like it may be a herniated disc that is impinging upon a nerve root. My advice is not to let a chiropractor manipulate you're back without first taking an x-ray. If the disc is herniated any chiropractic adjustment could do more harm than good. You might want to think about running over to the ER and have them examine you just to be safe.

Just my opinion.
