Okay. I know snow is coming, and I know that even though I'll be ABLE to get out tomorrow, I'm really not going to want to, so I headed to Walmart to pick up a few necessities.

A few tips....

First,
If your IQ is even marginally higher than your waist size, then you probably won't have too much trouble with the self-checkouts there. If you DO have trouble, you have no business using them, and you should just get in the longer line and let the cashier handle the ''hard stuff''.

Second, if you think your time is SO valuable, that you can't take the 30 seconds or so it takes to return a cart to the cart thing? Wow...what an ego.

Finally, if you're driving, and there are people walking with small children, or perhaps an older person who needs assistance, it's NOT necessary to get all Nascar on us. It's perfectly okay to stop and let them pass.

Okay, I'll climb down now! I just encountered some of the dumbest, rudest people today, and I needed to vent!

LOVE the snow, I really do. It makes things all pretty!

...And a good rant it was

Such problems can occur at any store I suppose, but I had so many similar horrid shopping experiences at Wal-Mart that I simply quit shopping there. Join me Lil....say hi to the friendly folks at Hy-Vee. Wander the miles of aisles at Menards. Experience the midwest at its finest at Farm and Fleet.

LOL, Lil & Nigel; my issues!

I have had many of the same thoughts, Lil! You forgot to add the people that think 20 items = 200! Christmas Eve... we were in that isle. The person in front of us had a small cart load, but a whole LOT OF MAKEUP items! They apparently decided to count those items as ONE! GRR! The poor checkout person kept looking @ the rest of us apolgetically. I'm usually pretty darn mellow & forgiving. I got my moments & this was ONE OF THEM!
The cart...I try to make it a point to return any renegade carts when I can so that the minimum wage workers don't have to, then wonder the same thing about the lazy thug that left it there in the 1st place?
Nigel...I love the stores you mentioned, but they don't have that ''One stop shopping thing'' going on! I can go to your stores & stay within my budget! I go to Wal-Mart thinking I need this & that & that & that! When I get to the check-out counter, the clerk says, ''that will be a billion, 200 gazzillion dollars''! As I reach for my credit card, instead of the intended checkbook, I mumble about the ''stupid one stop stores'', as the clerk continues to smile & keep me, the customer happy! LOL!
