the Iowa Code does is that statute addressed bigbrother? What statute in the Iowa Code makes such a distinction to exempt State workers from the same traffic safety measures that we, as licensed drivers in the State, are deemed to obey and uphold?

And...the exemptions are for all public road maintenance workers...not just state workers such as you allude to.

smartass. You're the one who shot off his mouth and made the statement. Prove it. Cite the section of the Iowa Code that addresses these exemptions. Telling someone to go search for themselves simply proves you don't have the balls to substantiate your claims.

I live on Cedar Street. Cops go flying by here at 90+ MPH at any givin time. What if my youngest is crossing the street to go play at the park??? What if they hit him?? What's that gonna end up as?? Oh we were on a desperate run..... silent run.... we had to .. .so sry for your kid...

I'm so GD sick and tired of this. I'm almost tempted to just run out in front of them.... Better me than my son. A school zone, just like the park on top of Fulliam is 20 mph. I live right IN FRONT OF A SCHOOL!!! The most offenders are cops. Chill a tad. ... You might come around a corner, like Bartlett and Cedar and alla sudden, there's a kid........

I understand emergenceys.... but... just but.... and, maybe.... just maybe.... lets save ourselves from that...

I think all our PD does a great job!! But what can we do about this?
