There certinally is an

upside to Wallyworlds history. They do in fact save the average shopper a ton of money. They do in fact have some sort of insurance coverage for employees. They do in fact contribute in many ways to the communities that they are in. They did it all the American way. Good old capitolism at its best. They also did it by beating the hell out of its employees and suppliers. Makes one wonder if they are being benevolent or if the Unions are making inroads into their ranks. I suspect the later. Are they a good place to work and a good neigbor? Depends upon your deffinitions and expectations. Compare the total benefit package(pay, insurance, retirement) against the Cities. I suspect you will find the City a much better deal. If not, I will be applying to be a door greeter tomorrow.

I could not care less what anyone thinks about my posts, Tom. I'm entitled to my opinion. As for your 30 years at the sh*t plant...some city departments were in bargaining units/unions. If you guys weren't, that's too bad. But what does what you say about your city insurance covereage actually say about the good that unions did for city employees with regard to insurance.

unions have been in decline for 30 years. now you are arguing that city/muni unions don't compete with non-union walmart employees. lol.

as i have stated before in a different context, you are entitled to your own opinion but you are not entitled to your own facts.

BTW...we all are entitled to our own facts. Sometimes living the experience is the best source of information. And you have no idea what I have lived.
