1. He wouldn't be with you this long unless he loved you.
2.He was married twice before and they cheated. Maybe he thinks once you two are married, he is hooked and you will free to cheat like the other wives.

You don't have to fall in love with the first man that does not hit you. There are many men out there that do not abuse women. There are many good men that would snatch you up in a second.
4. You have not given yourself time alone with no man around, to even decide what kind of man you would like. Sounds like you grabbed the first man who wouldn't hit you.

men: big picture - live in the clouds.
women: little picture - live around the stove.
call it testosterone v estrogen.

a big reason men give into marriage is for the socially accepted family and kids. that's not happening here.

'life is good'. it sounds like you have everything EXCEPT something that will screw it up if you push, nag, or make an ultimatum. he loves you. you love him. you saved his life. he saves your life every day. it sounds like you worship each other. focus only on that.

'one of the reasons..married so bad..sleeping..marry me' - this is a faulty, circular reason; it is based on your female idea of the perfect world with prince charming. as i mentioned before, you already have a perfect world.

'morally' and 'rejected'?: i'm not buying it and i don't think so.

if it makes you feel better, pretend your married. you could be anyway under iowa civil law, although probably not worth the trouble to later enforce.
