All the news agencies are now reporting that Turkey is going to go into Iraq. The U.S. Military says it will move troops up to deal with the conflict, spreading their numbers even thinner across areas that are already out of control.
Personally, I think this is a sign of more unrest in the region, opening up the door for Iran to make some moves.
It's going to get a lot worse for a long while before it gets better.
I'm wondering what you all think about this war. I know some of you whole-heartedly support Bush and his decisions, but other than the removal of Saddam as a dictator, what accomplishments have been made in the Middle East since we invaded? Can anyone, whether you're against or for the war, name 5 good things that have come out of this conflict? I'm sure I could name 5 things that have gotten worse.

NOTE: I'm keeping it respectfull, please do the same.

respectfully-

At the very beginning I said to my sons that I had a bad feeling about the USA going into Iraq. But that's done and now I feel Bush is about to blow up something in Iran. See my post below.

Nedl

I can remember right after we attacked Iraq, everyones thought was that we'd topple Saddam and his regime, restore order and be home by Christmas. I have to say that I thought the ''might'' of our military could possibly achieve that hope. Boy, was I wrong. I read your post and forwarded it to Bill Maher. Hopefully he'll bring up your post. Real Time w/ Bill Maher, tonight at 11pm est on HBO.

I really hope we don't get ourselves in any deeper than we already are. They way I see it, if we engage in anymore conflicts we are sitting ducks.

Thanks for being....nice, Nedl. I really do enjoy debating with you AND BB. I take things personally sometimes. I think mainly because I'm so frustrated with the way things are around the globe, and in some cases, my own life. I just don't understand why BB always brings family into the discussion instead of just responding to a post.

Thanks again.

another thing Nedl

Just saw on the news that a ''suspected'' nuclear site in Syria was bombed(you can see the before and after on Google Earth). U.S. and Israeli officials have ''no comment'', which to me says WE DID IT. I think this is another instance that is going to lead to a conflict w/ Iran sooner than later.
