I bet You won't see an apology
Heck, people don't even know how to apologize anymore.
There are really 3 parts to a meaningful apology:
1. Say ''I apologize''.
2. Say '' It really was my fault''.
and
3. Say ''How can I make up for the trouble I've caused?''
Most people think no. 1. is enough. A few go so far as including no. 2. Hardly anyone, anymore, bothers with no. 3.

The question is
do we need an alderman here who goes off half cocked making accusations when he doesn't know what he's talking about? They have plenty of those in Davenport and look at the mess they are in.

The question is.........
You forget that Henry has ran for office once before. Could it be that he has first hand experience? That he knows what he is talking about. Was he told NO when he asked to have pictures taken with firemen, policemen, the city fire truck, or any other equipment? Could it be hard for him to stand by and see someone get to have this picture taken when he was told NO. Was he told the city policy is NO. How did that policy change so abruptly this year?
The problem is Johnson changed the rules in order to protect his Fire Chief. I personally checked with Henry and others that have ran for offices and they ALL told me they were told it was against city policy. According to the Journal, the Fire Chief was approached by the Republican Women to make arrangement for the Picture taking. I thought this was a non partisan election? Maybe the Republican Party has finally let the cat out of the bag, and they are up to their unethical necks in deception. Notice how the mayor has kept quiet on this one, guess what, he is also a Republican.
The City Council is about to raise your taxes, and they have picked a way that doesn't require an election, so we cannot even complain or vote. Levy???????
