I posted about doing something with your kids this weekend. I want to know what everyone did.
I spent all day Sunday with my 2 little ones outside at the park for most of the day. Then when we did go home we made a nice large pot of chili and played tons of board games. My son gets tons of them every year for Christmas and his birthday. I was suprised to find how many of them we haven't even opened in the past, but after looking at the ages on the box I then knew why we hadn't. We all had a really good day yesterday. We where very lucky that it was as warm as it was.
It wasn't much for what we really did, but we all had a really good time doing it.

What I did-
Things to do-I had a pretty full and interesting weekend too.
Blink wildly and then close your eyes really tight for an interesting light show.
Tried it. Got dizzy-fell down.
See how long you can hold a note.
Apparently long enough for the neighbors to think my smoke alarm is working and bust in to find the fire.
Try to not think about penguins.
But I like penguins.
Pretend you're a robot.
Tried it. Scared the lady down the hall from me.
Scratch yourself.
Started doing it in the lunch room. People moved away from me.
Repeat the same word over and over until it loses its meaning.
Tried this on the elevator. Had the whole car to myself. Rode up and down alone for hours.
Try to swallow your tongue.
Tried this. Forgot I still had a mouth full of oatmeal. Nearly choked to death. Damn fools in the lunchroom was gonna let me.
Pretend to be a car.
Tried this. It got me throwed off the bus.
Invent a weird twitch.
Tried it. Got escorted out of Walmart.
Make a low buzzing noise.
Did it Sunday morning. Got ushered out of church.

GREAT PARENT!
Aussie...
Sounds like you did exactly what the Dr. ordered! A ''very wise person quoted another very wise person'' to me once. I have never forgotten it.
''It doesn't matter to your kids if you are at PTA meetings or sitting on a barstool.'' If you are not present when your children want or need you, you are not there. It was a hard peice of advice for me to take; I was that PTA mom; but I eventually got it.
You got it! You gave yourself & your children a very happy memory! Did you take pictures in your head? Did you watch their faces & listen to their excitement & record them in your head? These times are so fleeting! Enjoy every single moment, aussie, every single moment & revel in the times that you were able to ''make a family moment''. Those moments will be remembered BY YOUR CHILDREN & shared with your grandchildren. Your children will someday carry on that loving legacy you are giving them! Don't ever give up on that...KEEP IT UP & WAY TO GO!
