I'm with ya...
I liked it the way it was when Clyde owned it best, but it was still OK with Dave running it. No dang noisey,jukebox playing idiot music. Gloves, hats, hand tools, fuses,pipes and shoelaces + on the wall for sale. Honest beer at honest prices where you sit on an honest stool. Friendly bartenders. Smelled like a bar, not a dang greasy spoon or beauty shop. Decent enough hours for any conscientious working man. A backdoor entrance and exit. I also liked Besisi's. How many of you are old enough to remember that place? |

It was on the corner of 5th and Mulberry. I went there to get comic books and candy. The two old ladies lived in the big brick house just down 5th Street. But then were talking about the 60S and very early 70S. That was a long time ago. |
