Besides great food, what are you thankful or grateful for as you celebrate Thanksgiving?

Easy for me...I am thankful for family and friends, that I have a roof over my head, food on the table, and enough cash to catch a movie now and then. I'm thankful that despite some serious personal losses in the past couple of years, I have seen the ''silver lining'' of that darkness...that those remaining have grown closer, and more appreciative of those they care about...and that loss sometimes makes you more appreciative of what you DO have.

I'm thankful too, for Oreo Blizzards from DQ!! (y'all didn't think I could be serious ALL the time, did ya?)

Hug your family this Thanksgiving, and I hope all of us appreciate the blessings we have in our lives, and that we spend more time recognizing those blessings, and less time bitching about what we don't have.

Love,
Lil

What I am Thankful for

I am thankful for my 2 beautiful children, even when they make me mad.

I am thankful for a wonderful husband, even when he doesn't pick up his socks from the floor.

I am thankful for my parents and sisters, even when we don't always get along.

I am thankful for my job, even though I have all the added stress from owning 2 businesses, without it I wouldn't have the other things that I am thankful for.

A roof over my head, food on the table, able to go have a good time with my friends and family from time to time.

Always thankful-

more than ever for the family I put through some hard times. For a warm and dry place to live, having had a taste of being homeless. For enough food, having had to live on bread and used tea bags for a few days at a time. Thankful to live in a town like Muscatine. As bad or boring as some think it is, It's way better than Detroit or New Orleans. I could go on for some time but make your own list. Have a great Thanksgiving.

Aussielee!

We must be married to the same guy, or it's just some kind of genetic defect that makes it impossible for men to pick up their dirty socks.
Do they think we want to pick up their dirty stinky socks?

Your reply was funny and honest. We love them (husbands, sisters, etc), even if we don't always get along. In the end, it's better to have them in our lives than to think of NOT having them, even if some of them are huge pains in the arse.
