Yes, at what cost

While it is still too soon to call this victory, the cost is important. When is something desirable just too expensive?
Anything good in Iraq?

What, if anything good, has happened in the eyes of the world in Iraq bigbrother? Name one thing? The percentages Lilsmom quotes is only U.S. figures. What about the rest of the world's opinion? I guess being a liberal and caring what the rest of the free world nations think of my country is an illegitimate concern to the conservatives who continue to repeatedly fall on their swords for this administration.

I think we need to put a horn on that lighthouse of yours dimwit.

Using that kind logic...

... we shouldn't have ''destroyed'' Germany or Japan either. We sure as hell did and at a much higher cost than Iraq!
Someday an unbiased History will show, no matter what the sheep in the U.S. think right now, that the deposition of Saddam and the rebuilding of Iraq was the right thing to do in the long run.

In order to make...

a sound judgement about the ''costs'' you have to compare them to other relative numbers in history and the ultimate outcomes. I don't see you doing that. If your going to criticize, it's up to you to support your criticism with some subjective and comparitive information.
