You number is high


There is not and never has been that many. True there may well be more today, but only 19 folks were on that plane (14 Saudis) and they really cannot take anything we won't give. Bush hypes the threat and uses it to bend the rules, but the truth is the threat isn't as large as made out. Never was.

We can lessen or grow the threat, but nothing makes them capable of defeating us or taking what freedoms we won't give. If we lose any, that's a bad on us.

However, to pretend terrorism had nothing to do with the bending of the rules (your words) then that would suggest Bush had a plan to do this prior to 9/11. Not something I can accept. Prove it.

I think we will defeat ourselves

With our own debt. We are a nation that is so credit oriented and in such debt. Didn't some saudi group buy a large portion of citibank, to ward off it's debt and collapse. Foriegner are just going to keep buying up our debt till we are nothing more than a shell of our former selves. Credit cards aren't the answer and the godsend we think them to be. The battle we will lose isn't going to be with guns, its going to be with currency.
