Why are some of you so obsessed with what others do and say here, to the point that you can't hold your tongue? People post simple questions & comments here, only to be made fun of or beat up on. What really kills me is the people who do most of the insulting and name calling are ''older''. I say older because I'm 38 and I know those of you to whom I refer are at least a dozen years older than me. I wonder what your spouses think. What your children think. I suppose if they're your spouse, they probably share your views, or are at least made to feel they better.
I don't get it people. Where's the civility? Where's the humility?
It's also obvious that some of you who are ''at war'' with one another know who each other are. Why not just meet at the park and fight or something? spare the rest of us. I also know that at least a dozen or so different people will read this post, yet only a couple will reply. Why? Because the rest of them know that by putting in their ''2cents'', they'll be railed on. And that's a shame, because regardless what a few posters here think, everyones' opinions count.

I just don't get it..

SV, late in your post you said something about people not wanting to post their 2 cents worth because they don't want to get ''railed'' on.
What I don't get (and maybe I'm abnormal in this), is how anyone can be that sensitive that they can't stand conflict or what someone says to or about them in a written on line chat.
I just can't get whipped up enough to care what any annonymous person writes to or about me. It's just so abstract and distant (compared to a personal face to face encounter). I could see some possible reason if it was personal correspondence (like in a letter or such or even email), but a chat board??? One has to be ultrasensitive to let what someone might say there keep you from posting something oneself?
I've known a few people that couldn't stand confrontation. I always thought they had a personality disorder.
