Iraq.... In case you forgot

Posted in: Muscatine

Iraq war Coalition Deaths 4,696

Injured 30,000

Iraqi civilian deaths and injured, 1,366,650

Afghanistan coalition Deaths 1,659

American taxpayers bill as of today $964,044,305,874

Yea...in case you forgot. This post does nothing to support our military. If so; can anyone post how?  In fact, these posts drive support for our enemies and the terrorists. The liberal mainstream press quit posting this daily when the communist obumbler took office. It was reported everyday when Bush was in office.

Can anyone state what good a post such as this does? Does it honor our veterans?

Iraq/Afghanistan are peanuts compared to this:

"According to the The Black Book of Communism: Crimes, Terror, Repression the number of victims killed world-wide is close to 100 million. The breakdown of the number of deaths is as follows:

65 million in the People's Republic of China
20 million in the Soviet Union
2 million in Cambodia
2 million in North Korea
1.7 million in Africa
1.5 million in Afghanistan
1 million in the Communist states of Eastern Europe
1 million in Vietnam
150,000 in Latin America
10,000 deaths resulting from actions of the international communist movement and communist parties not in power."

You can check it out here (quite an interesting site, established by congress by the way):

Hi MalSmile

I wasn't a member in Nov. But always do, also along with Memorial Day. My grandfather on my mother's side was a decorated Vet of Normandy, my father and some uncles and cousins are vets. But I don't recall specifics in putting up here. But I may have done so along with others recognizing our military past and currently in action in the middle east. There have been so many posts this way or that? But I'd hasten to say you are as thankful to and for them as anyone else here. Being steadfastly against war and worse, pointless wars, doesn't indicate at all that anyone isn't thankful to our servicemen and women. We Americans can seem to get so lost among the multiple points of dissension, at times some see that as a dismissal or disrespect of the total body of our military. I don't see it that way, other than on an occasional case by case basis.

Heres what i dont get from u protestors.......i worked with a couple of marines who went through 2 and 3 tours of duty in Iraq....these guys believed in what they were doing, they know they were making a huge difference in peoples lives......how many innocent people were tortured and killed under Sadam? So why the hell mallory , bird and tp is your life worth more than an Iraqi civilians? Our soldiers are saving lives...the one thing the marines said was that all the media ever did was portray the u.s. in a bad light.....they showed only what they wanted americans to see.........we did the right thing! even children were tortured.....so hopefully if any of u get the chance to stand before God....maybe u can tell him why u believe your life is worth more than those being tortured and killed for no good reason....while your at it...how many of u 3 opposed clintons use of the military in somalia and all the other places we sent military to act as peace keeping forces? too bad the 3 of ya cant see the good that came from us being there and the death of Sadam........
