Hi BB
You are righty-O BB. Dems have stood at the head of the wars we didn't need to get into until 2003. That past we're discussing would have to include the whole list then::: right. I do not and did not want our intervention in Iraq and had the dems truly controlled congress then, we'd had no war in Iraq. One vote in the senate doesn't constitute a controlling majority especially since over 60% of all dems voted no. But you are correct within your "who did and didn't read those reports" comment. But in all honesty sir, what mattered most was WHO DID and how they were aggrandized and overblown. It also didn't help to have Rove, Bush, Chaney, Rummsfeld, Powell, Rice, Wolfawitz, and so on, cramming every propagandised untruth in our faces day after day right up until they raised the threat level to orange just before the election without any reason, all the while dowsing America with the worst scare tactics in history. The fact that the majority of dems did not vote to give Bush this war should be enough had they a true majority thus no war. We didn't realize that the administration was going to have that war come hell or high water until it was too late. Now getting us out of it shouldn't be battled against, it should be embraced and striven for. But to you I will bow regarding the memory of our vets and who controlled congress for the majority of our modern history. Dems had, and dems will get the blame for this one too. Both dems and repubs did this over all. But we have to remember though, they didn't control America's government while the wool was pulled over our eyes, as our economy was destroyed in our blindness, while this long undeserved war trudges on. If the repubs take control and they have a big hand in getting us out of it, I will applaud them well.
Lucy
