I can't reply for Big, but, since I'm also a veteran, I can reply for myself.
From the guys I know, and personally, we don't forget our friends and we don't forget our enemies. At least that goes for the VietNam era vets.
By the way, once you go through it, you can pretty readily pick out friends and enemies today. Society is still producing people of character that will stick by you, and people that will sell you down the river and run when it gets tough.
As far as Big claiming to be a veteran, what reasons do you have to doubt that claim? If you don't have anything specific, that was a pretty cheap shot.
