It seems that the occupiers were indeed, ousted from that park, the park cleaned and is now usable by others than the occupiers. The occupiers will be allowed in the park, but no tents, sleeping bags or camping equipment will be allowed. The occupiers right to voice their displeasure - or whatever - had infringed upon the right of others to have free access to the park. If you, Republican, think that is unfair that is your right. You could always invite them to camp in your yard and then deal with all the benefits that come with that, like the rapes, drug overdoses, assaults, not to mention defecating wherever.
BTW I forgot to mention that the owners of the park asked for it to be cleared and cleaned and have established the rules that prohibit more permanent occupiers - no camping, tents, etc. so the police are merely helping those folks reclaim their property.
