Des Moines Register reports Lande, director of DNR has a conflict of interest with GPC.   Might be embarassing for our local attorney.  Will GPC win this one?

I think this might be a bit rougher for GPC.   The Attorney General is finally taking it seriously and the CLAM people have a good attorney too.

It's absurd that Lande suppressed the reports when the pollution was particularly high.   No excuse.

What a stinking pile of bull that is - there was an article in both the QC Times and the Journal about the high levels of sulfur dioxide. That was just in the last few weeks. So just quit posting lies when those of us who really read know that you lie.

Absurd. Yes. I have not seen anything in print (or other proof) that Lande suppressed any reports.

In fact, in April, it was Lande's DNR that recommended that the Environmental Protection Commission refer GPC violations to the Attorney General for legal action.

And following that, the E. Commission did just that, one week later. And like a Journal commenter reminded readers, that commission was approved by a Democrat controlled Iowa Senate. Likewise, the Iowa Attorney General remains a Democrat. Ball is in his court.

So it would seem that the leader of the DNR (Lande) has taken more actions benefiting

the CLAP group, than he does opposing them! Same with the E. Committee.

Too bad no one has come up with just what kind of a conflict there is between the DNR, Lande, and his law firm. Conflicts of interest are not automatic by suggestion and need to be proven, just like any other allegation.

You'll notice that the CLAP group are not asking for Lande's recusal from his decision to recommend legal action be taken against GPC.
