A quick revue of the "Republican Presidential Candidates".
A short update after a long hour of TV.
Only one qualified, Huntsman. He can look forward to one or two per cent of the Republican vote.
Edged to the right a bit. Took up a couple of right wing favorites. Maybe up to four per cent.
Romney, may be qualified but has assumed all the far right positions to try to get the nomination and will have to reverse himself one more time if he has any hope of winning the general election.. He's already a two time loser.
Kept cool. Kept his position, which is coming up short.
Down hill from there.
No change here.
Bachman, Perry and Santorum think they are running for deacon or pastor of a fundamentalist Christian church. That won't sell in the general election. Santorum has already been rejected once.
No downplaying of religion. Bachman made a couple of presidential sounding comments. Up a tad.
Paul, is basically an anarchist and would destroy the government and we would all be at the mercy of the plutocrats. He would send us even more quickly than the others towards an economy like a banana republic.
Made some of the best comments on foreign affairs. No more senseless wars like Viet Nam or Iraq.
Made some the worst comments on foreign affairs. We'll have no more friends or allys.
Gingerich, would represent Gingerich and only Gingerich. For a fee he would do something for someone else. Most of us can't afford his fee schedule.
Still all Gingrich. Hurt himself a little bit with the women's vote when he dissed Bachman.
Pawlenty, might have been qualified.
No change.
Trump, is now and always has been a joke.
Still a joke
Palin, same as Trump but not as smart.
Ditto.
Cain, had a one issue campaign, 9-9-9. To be charitable it made no sense. To analyze it in more detail, it robbed from the poor and gave to the rich.
Suspending a campaign is sort of like dieing
Did I forget anyone?
