DM...What do you suppose his last sentence is supposed to say?
Oh oh SL, this may be viewed as putting someone down or not taking a side.

The Journal is making a big mistake in my opinion. Most of us are smart enough to know the crack-pots who post garbage should be taken with a very small grain of salt. The comments that are posted on the Journal site are already filtered and/or removed if unacceptable and now the Journal wants everyone to post their real name for some of those very same crack-pots to be able to identify people who may disagree with their opinions. |

Reading the announcement in the Muscatine Journal about comment pages was enlightening today. A person will possibly have to reveal their identity in order to make comments. This is a positive happening, as it will reveal the true intentions of the article writer. It will eliminate the absolutely negative comments and should also better the entire discussion. The Muscatine Journal is also staffed with one particularly sleezy thinking person that probably wants it not to change. It needs to be done here as well. Ask yourself would you be willing to say what you say if your true identity were known? What makes honest opinions and wanting to belittle someone equal? Why does Just Curious always try to put someone down, and never comes up with any true "sides" of the issue? Why does Republican always attempt to reduce to ridiculous? Perhaps the most important; Why do you feel that way? Good luck all of you. Maybe people will refer to Big Brother and say he may have a point. How about this, I appreciate your opinion, but look at it this was. Looks to me like some multiple ID user just outted themselves. Why would Republibub ask a question in the third person and in insult form. Looks like somebody burned themselves. |

You need to go back and read that again, he said they all agree it is something that should be done (making you use your real name) but is something he does not have control of. So instead they are limiting the number of places on their web saite where people can comment. It does not say you will have to use your real name.
