Exactly right, Hechta. If you read the article carefully, you will see that nowhere does it say they will require, or even allow (except, I suppose, in letters to the editor - as always), the use of your actual name.
It says they will no longer allow comments on any stories or articles, except Coss's Corner, and The Editor's column. And then comments can still be entered under a pseudonym, as I understand it.
I guess all this begs the question: Has anything positive in Muscatine ever been accomplished because of a comment in the Journal? If so, I would think this change by the Journal is counterproductive.
If nothing of a positive nature has ever been accomplished (except the satisfaction of the poster), it doesn't matter.
