Hiroad, apparently I don't know the danger this country is in.  I would however be interested in being enlightened.  Not a bunch of unproven rhetoric but facts. For every link spewing doomsday warnings, I am sure there are  many links to state the very  opposite.

And nedl, that site looks quite interesting.  I will check it out.  Although I did enjoy discussing local events and argue/agree with the citizens of Muscatine county about local events.  I remember when you could read more local news right here than was ever in the Journal, and it was nearly always accurate.

I know. I miss the old days, no matter how wild it got at times.

Miss-I....I am reminded by other's historical postings here about free-will and so forth, and that anyone may introduce any topic whatsoever and start any new discussion threads they wish, including local issues and news.

I guess I'm saying that the proverbial-ball, is in your court.....if that's what you enjoy.

I will not, however, put up with discussions regarding whether or not I'm wearing underwear when eating green pickles and black olives...certain things are just sacred.

Miss Iowa:  Almost all that I post has reference to  news stories about what has happened or is currently happening.  A very small % of it is rhetoric.  What your  post reflects is based on something you have fantasized in order to justify your beliefs, not how things actually are.  I guess I challange you to find those legitimate sources (links) that "state the very opposite" of what I post.

By the way, I once took an oath to protect this country.  I did not see an expiration date on that oath.
