Just a footnote: I posted an NPR article from 2009. It says "Congress voted overwhelmingly last year (which means 2008) to ban ACORN and its affiliates from getting millions of dollars in federal funds". Who was it that controlled congress in 2008? Even Congress knew something was wrong with this group! Let's see if mallcontent wants to go on record defending ACORN some more, and opposing her 2008 liberal majority friends in Congress, who actually are the ones that caused the diamantling! (Like I said...its always about the money!)

Yeah, I'll continue to say that it was a gross miscariage of justice.   Congress, including any liberals that voted to cut the funding, was stampeded into acting before they had the whole story. HOW were they stampeded by a liberal-controlled Congress,Mallcontent?

Why Breitbart can do that?   He has FOX, Limbaugh and others to help him.   When that gang gets the 25% or 30% of the population who rely on FOX riled, it's hard to get the true story out.   And even the responsible media don't always act responsibly.

Did you read my post? It states that the last Forum was attended by clean air muscatine and all of the Legislators explained that GPC is building a new facility that will be completed in 2014 that should resolve the air quality issue. They also inform them that both the DNR and the EPA are monitoring the situation. So what more can be done? They listened to that representative of clam and gave their response - sop. So why does clam come back again with the same story? As I stated, that hinges on harrassment. Previously clam addressed the group with the issue, the Legislators responded that the problem is being monitored by two agencies and that a new facility will be completed in two years. When you are told that the problem is being taken care of, why come back and sing the same story? I don't know for certain, but if I were Mr Lofgren I would probably find it more than a little annoying for the spokesperson to act like there is some magic wand that can be waved to make it happen yesterday after being told that the problem is being taken care of. Every Legislator on that Forum is well aware that there is a problem and is also aware of the steps being taken to remedy the situation and relayed that info to clam at the last Forum. Msmal, they already had their right to complain about it.

Why, if you would listen to the tape, you would realize Lofgren didn't answer the question, at all.  EITHER TIME.  If you think that CLAM will quit asking the questions and they will swept under the rug, as Just Curious is attempting to accomplish, you are wrong.  I know a few of the CLAM members, and they won't be swept under the carpet.  Maybe its time to start answering the questions.

Secondly, in terms of political parties, the Republicans spokesperson asked some democrats the same question at every FORUM in the past, and this was considered O.K. at that time.  Just Curious wants her cake and eat it also.  Honey, you don't get it both ways.

Now, back to the issue.  What can be done to get the air we breathe cleaned up?

Complain again and again, until something is done.  What other choice do we have?

Maybe Just curious knows some people that pack pieces so it can be settled in the wild wild west fashion, but guess what, this would mean throwing the culprit in Jail, and the pollution culprit isn't CLAM.
