" In fact it wastes more money than most government programs.
For efficiency go to Social Security. Very little waste. "
I didn't say our military was the most efficient. Where did you get that?
Excuse me but your original post seemed to have an current of implied waste and inefficiencies in government and by putting the military forth as the best government program I got the impression that you thought the military was better run, more efficient.
All money taken out of paychecks, supposedly for social security, goes to other wasteful programs. After that, there is no money there to waste! It truly is a Ponzy scheme. And think of the many dubious qualifiers for Social Security disability! Talk about waste!
Gawd, if this is what you think, it's no wonder you are lost and rely on the Republicans to guide you who only make you more lost. Just try to defend that statement.
You did not address one of my points. Like always, just made up other topics to change the direction. Standard lib SOP.
First, I'm not required to address all your points. Second, I don't know which point you are referring to.
“Government officials multiply the number of regulations regardless of the waste they cause. For example, the Defense Department has 1,357 pages of regulations about how officials travel. Complying with these regulations adds about 30 percent to travel costs. If the Pentagon adopted the best practices of private companies, it could save an estimated $650 million to $840 million every year.
That's your well run military.
Whenever you hear a politician propose that government take over some private business, like New York’s troubled Long Island Lighting Company, there should be red flags all over the place, because government operation means high costs.
Have you forgotten about our government run electric and water supplier?
