" In fact it wastes more money than most government programs.
For efficiency go to Social Security.   Very little waste. "

I didn't say our military was the most efficient.  Where did you get that?

Excuse me but your original post seemed to have an current of implied waste and inefficiencies in government and by putting the military forth as the best government program I got the impression that you thought the military was better run, more efficient.

All money taken out of  paychecks, supposedly for social security, goes to other wasteful programs.  After that, there is no money there to waste!  It truly is a Ponzy scheme.  And think of the many dubious qualifiers for Social Security disability!  Talk about waste!

Gawd, if this is what you think, it's no wonder you are lost and rely on the Republicans to guide you who only make you more lost.   Just try to defend that statement.

You did not address one of my points.  Like always, just made up other topics to change the direction.  Standard lib SOP.

First, I'm not required to address all your points.   Second, I don't know which point you are referring to.

“Government officials multiply the number of regulations regardless of the waste they cause. For example, the Defense Department has 1,357 pages of regulations about how officials travel. Complying with these regulations adds about 30 percent to travel costs. If the Pentagon adopted the best practices of private companies, it could save an estimated $650 million to $840 million every year.

That's your well run military.

Whenever you hear a politician propose that government take over some private business, like New York’s troubled Long Island Lighting Company, there should be red flags all over the place, because government operation means high costs.

Have you forgotten about our government run electric and water supplier?

You didn't address any of my points.

She did a fine job.

One just cannot understand it. Some- simply- think in a black and white fashion like most neocons do. Too bad there isn't any gray in the matter. How esle can there be any further explanation needed. For heaven's sake open the mind and experience what it's like to feel for Americans as a whole for once.  Why are there those who honestly think they are superior and the rich are thinking of them all the time. Well it's a sad reality, they don't care about you until election day. A government healthcare system can be run as poorly or wonderfully as anything can. The real problem isn't the government's ability, it's that greedy people are  the elements that make anything run poorly. Everywhere you look is the sheen of a good shellacking done by scammers and thieves from the tiniest municipality to the larges organizations. I fear there might be mistakes and flaws but in spite of that, the original comment stands. WE DO IN FACT have the greatest government rum military on mother earth. It's not perfect but nothing is. It's still the point so why allow those greedy liars who want to keep those billions in profits rolling in from the drug companies, insurance companies, lawyers, doctors and hospitals to keep running our healthcare? Stop buying into futility. It stinks and it's about time we demanded a system that actually helps heal the sick while not having to lose their homes too, and gives ALL a chance to see the light at the end of the tunnel. It was good enough for governor Romney just a short while ago.  If all this wasn't about trillions in profits there would be a simple plan. Like, hey lets do it. Why else would all the entities above spend billions to fight the idea?
