As Jeff Foxworthy put it about giving kids a time out. His Dad used to take time out of his bust day to whoop his butt when he needed. It is time for one of those butt whoopings in this instance. But again it won't happen with this administration, as a side note in church this morning, In honor of the up coming 4th of July we sang our National Anthem, followed by America the Beautiful. Sad as it is to admit as I sat and pondered the words to America the Beautiful and what they meant to me growing up I was actually a bit choked up at how far we have fallen.

A short synopsis of the differences:

Wide Receiver - The number of guns used in the operation from the beginning until the end of the operation was 300. Fast & Furious - The number of guns used in the operation from the beginning until the end of the operation was 2,000.

Wide Receiver - Guns were traced with miniature GPS devices inserted inside the guns. Fast & Furious - No tracking devices were used.

Wide Receiver - ATF agents were ordered to follow the gun smugglers from the gun store to the US/Mexico border. Fast & Furious - ATF agents were ordered to stand down and not follow the gun smugglers after they left the gun store.

Wide Receiver - Mexican army and police was in the loop about Wide Receiver. They took over the surveillance of the gun smugglers after they crossed with the guns in Mexico. Fast & Furious - Mexican authorities were kept in the dark by the ATF and the US DOJ. They had no idea about Fast & Furious and the fact that guns provided to gun smugglers by the American authorities were "walked" in Mexico into the hands of drug cartel murderers.

Wide Receiver - When a small number of guns (30-40) were lost due to the malfunctioning GPS tracking devices operation Wide Receiver was immediately aborted and cancelled. Fast and Furious - Operation continued even after ATF and DOJ lost track of all 2,000 guns sold to Mexican drug cartels.  (Why would that be, if Fast and Furious was well intentioned???)

And it it amzin' how all the libs say that fast and furious was started in the Bush admin and holder stopped it. It was NOT started in the Bush admin. It was started and STOPPED by holder. I yell at the tv a lot!

I do to.

Yellin at the groove tube makes us a little more self-aware. A good thging perhaps. I didn't say that obama's program was Bush'. But the same desire? It was two different faces, semantics etc.  the call was off and I stand corrected. Those programs were about the same in stupidity and focus. Nothing good would have ever come from either no matter who started the first or second.. No---- it's not the same name, as named and those behind the worst of the two disgraceful programs, needed to be fired and tried ASAP. Bush had nothing to do with obama's boys and seemingly had the steel to kill his before it turned out as badly as this one did. Can't and don't blame Bush for that and do credit his admin for stopping it, though he too should have known better to ever implement such lunacy too.
Obama might have a tough time explaining why he want's Americans to stay in the dark here.

It's hard to beleive.

In less than half the time it takes to topple an empire's imperial hold, and build a great nation from that effort, we have lost most of that ground, and all the integrity to keep that nation. If you listen closely you might be able to hear the founding fathers spinning in their graves. Like High Road said, they think they have the right to decide everything for us. Or there abouts.
