I want the cuts to expire totally. I see what has to be done. Entitlements? What do you think an entitlement is? They are virtually everything the government offers weather you be rich or poor. Foolishly and blindly does a person go to the bank to borrow what they cannot pay back. We cannot spend our way to prosparity. Certainly obama hasn't understood that and if that were the only problem most seem to have with his idealistic mentality . Super. He is to blame for the way he manages but not the way this nation was managed for the forty years previous, that by and large put us in this mess. Dodd and Franks didn't do it, The man who put his signatures on the go line did it. Besides, no measure of law afforded to any bill signed by the president took away the authority of regulators to do their jobs. Clinton's signature on the omnibus budget and those bankers and brokers apointed by every president since Ford set loose the bubble so those nefarious cads given the power to destroy our economy couldf DO IT. The omnibus should be illegal. That wasn't Franks and Dodd that was also GRAMM, LEACH, and BLIELY along with the majority . Such budget manipulation should be illegal and had Clinton the line item veto he wanted, this whole mess might have been averted in the first place. The Bubble wasn't the cause but the result. The cause was that regulators stupidly appointed by every president since Reagan were wanton and wreck less and JUST DID NOT regulate.. It's almost hilarious that anyone would think for one second that any bank hadn't the authority to turn down a bad loan. They simply saw short term profits to gamble with and shower over each other in bonuses and Greenspan said NO--I am not a regulator-- End of story. Perhaps you recall,------If it's legal, I don't care------
I was sick when McCain lost. I understand that obama didn't have the experience and knew he wouldn't be able to do a damn thing to fix this mess if it wasn't able to be done congressionally. Democrats and republicans screwed the pooch and still are. I have never said otherwise. I just detest that we ignore the big picture and refuse to learn from our mistakes. What I wouldn't give to go back and start all over with McCain and Lieberman-or McCain and Palenty--or McCain and Giuliani, Hell McCain and Paul, but thanks to that throw in the towel move by the RNC we got the inevitable disastrous team of Palin and Palin. The RIGHT man for the job didn't stand a chance. How do you think it felt to have all this disappointment compounded by the fact that this little known chicago politician with no experience at all, outside his constitutional law know how, that started out his career with the likes of Ayers. IT HURT. The new republican party did it again. They gave us the shaft and left the people with either a very real chance for PRESIDENT Palin or obama. But since we had what we had I thought well, perhaps it will be better. Nope. But I will not set back and toss the bean bags of blame for ALL this mess, through this--circus clown's pie hole ---- for what was already the worst disaster in nearly a century before he was even elected mutchg less sworn in. That's my whole problem with all the blame games. If obama is this bad or inept----, then what does that say for those ahead of him. All anyone needs is a less than hollow head to see the answer--
