The VA Dems Against Mandatory Rape Sentences

Several Obama surrogates in Virginia opposed a popular law that ensures lengthy prison sentences for child rapists.

In March, the Virginia state legislature overwhelmingly passed a law that imposed automatic life sentences for any adult convicted of raping a child under the age of 13. The issue received scant attention and even less debate, according to Delegate Rob Bell (R.,Charlottesville), the bill’s sponsor.

“More than half of all rapes in Virginia are to children under 13,” he said. “In the past two years we had 228 offenders, only 10 got life sentences. They were appallingly short.”

Twenty-one state senators and delegates, all Democrats, voted nay on the bill, including a handful of prominent Obama supporters.

Opponents of the law visited the White House on at least 17 occasions, according to White House logs. Many are organizing for Obama in the highly charged race to capture Virginia’s 13 electoral votes. Sen. Louise Lucas, the Obama surrogate who claimed Romney’s surge in Virginia lay in “racism,” Delegate Mamye BaCote, a leading member of VA Women for Obama, and five members of the Obama campaign’s Truth Team voted against the strict punishments.

On March 24, 2010, democrat Claire McCaskill voted specifically to guarantee access to taxpayer-funded Viagra for rapists and child molesters. You can arguably say that she insisted on spending people’s tax money to medically help rapists so that they are physically able to rape again.And if McCaskill was a Republican, that is exactly what CNN, ABC, NBC and your Yahoo! News headlines would be saying.

But what have the headlines been saying instead?

Liberal Media Answer: LOL! What headlines? If we can ignore the Obama’s Adminstration sexual-harassment scandal in the department of Homeland Security, we can ignore this too!

So in summary we have:

1: Someone who apologized after uttering something medically inaccurate on a local TV station about “legitimate rape” and pregnancies and

2: Someone who is proud to have provided the deciding vote for a national law to ensure the right of rapists and child molesters to have all the erectile-dysfunctional medicine they need to potentially harm more women and children.

A reasonable human being would assume the second person would be in the center of a national controversy and denounced as “anti-women”. But as it turns out, since that second person is a liberal, the same reasonable standards don’t apply.

Oh well, no one believes the national liberal media and Democrats are reasonable human beings anyway.

Democrats are hypocrites.

To paraphrase an  NRA slogan, Viagra doesn't cause rape, people cause rape.
