Which is why I'm still a card-carrying member of the NRA and no longer deal with AARP.

Ditto. I still get the AARP magazine tho, even after quitting membership. I tried several of the "discounts" members are supposed to receive. Even those were so user-unfriendly to try and obtain, they were not worth it. I did get a 20% discount from Enterprise rentals thru AARP once. But that was it. Travelocity was always cheaper since.

At least the NRA interviews the candidates, and attempts to determine who will support the NRA's views the most.  They rate Democrats and Republicans.  They give their support to whomever they feel is their best candidate for their interests.

The NFIB does nothing, just endorses Republicans.  This was told to me by the main person who sends the money to the candidates.  If you look closely, you will see the NFIB contributions you give aren't even deductible as donations.
