Gander Mountain, B and B in Bettendorf, Scheels in Iowa City, L and R in Durant....... Now, try to buy a gun without a background check or a CCP. Let us know how it turns out.
If it turns out the way we know it will, your 40% are apparently buying illegally.
My suggestions.....
1. For using an illegal firearm in the commission of a crime.....death penalty.
2. For anyone under the age of 18 illegally carrying.....first offense, 20 years no parole.
3. Possession of a firearm in a gang related activity.....life sentence, no parole.
4. Attempting to buy a firearm illegally.....25 years, no parole.
Come on libs.......let's get serious about this.
Yes. I would buy in to all four proposals. If we are serious about stopping the illegal possession and use of firearms, your proposals are a good step in that direction. By the way, the NRA has been pushing for stricter enforcement of our current laws regarding illegal use of firearms for years.
Also, after reading all of malodery's posts, I am convinced she/he/it has no idea what the current federal or Iowa gun laws state. She/he/it is calling for more laws without any understanding of the current laws.
I did post a link to all of Iowa's current firearms laws, but I'm sure she/he/it shrugged that off and didn't bother to read them. Probably just too lazy and afraid of what she/he/it might read.
I don't believe we can take her/him/it seriously on this subject.
