1. What, specifically, are "assault" weapons?
2. What form would this "ban" take????
Please answer in some detail.

1. What, specifically, are "assault" weapons? Any weapon that will shoot multiple bullets with one pull of the trigger and has a magazine capacity of over 6 shells. My definition.
2. What form would this "ban" take???? Make them totally illegal for civilians. Make it a crime to buy or sell or import them through a business, over the internet, or privately.
Please answer in some detail. I feel it is nearly useless to propose anything to you and the rest of the gun nuts. I only get accused of stupidity, ignorance and trying to solve a problem which none of you wish to solve. There are other venues that are more productive. How about you experts come up with a method to keep lethal weapons out of the hands of those who may misuse them. Don't give me that "arm everybody" either. How to remove them not add to them.

What you described ("will shoot multiple bullets with one pull of the trigger") are called "fully automatic" weapons (some call them "machine guns") and these are currently illegal to own unless you have a class 2 permit, only issued to a very few collector type people.
I cannot easily find reference to documented mass murders where a fully automatic weapons were used.
So....I presume you have no idea what the hell you are talking about, once again. |
