Muscatine

I saw an interview this morning with friends of the killers mother, who was also shot dead.  Of course, they described her as a nice lady. 

Really?  Her son is diagnosed with multiple mental disorders.  She pulls him out of school because she isn't happy with the schools IEP, and home schools him.  She keeps at least four weapons in the home, despite his mental problems.  She takes him shooting and tries to use guns to show him how to be responsible.  She fails to secure her firearms. 

If new gun laws could somehow manage to keep weapons out of the hands of idiots, crazies, and nuts like her, I might consider them.  But unfortunately, the idiots, crazies, nuts and criminals don't follow the laws we have now, and a new stack of laws won't make much difference. 

This is how they guard school children in Israel:

The teacher is packing an M1 carbine.  She has equipped it with a magazine pouch on the butt stock to hold extra ammo in magazines that can be readily loaded when needed. 

Have you noticed how the "nuts" seem to attack people in "gun free zones" such as schools, movie theatres, etc.?   What would the logical response to that be?

And more.  I just heard an interview with a man who was a babysitter for the killer about 10 years ago.  He claims the mother warned him to always keep an eye on him and never turn his back to him. 

So this mother already knew the situation then, but decided to put guns in his hands?

Unbelieveable, but apparently true.
